August Wedding in Coosada, AL

Aaron and Danielle celebrated their marriage at the Elms of Coosada surrounded by so many family and friends. Danielle has a very large family, and she worked hard to make sure that everyone was able to play a special role in her day. Many, many tears were shed during several "first looks" and moments of prayer. It was a joy to watch Aaron's children play and laugh all day under the beautiful trees dripping in Spanish moss while they watched their daddy prepare to exchange vows with his beautiful bride.

Something I've learned about Danielle is that she loves to express her appreciation and love through written words. More than once I heard a family member lovingly laugh and say, "Danielle and her letters." They were a beautiful touch to incorporate throughout the day's moments.

The Ceremony

It is rare that a ceremony site has such perfect lighting as the Elms. Danielle is a photographer herself and was so excited to show me how the sun would set behind the trees and provide the most perfect glowy light during their ceremony. She was absolutely right, and it made my job so easy! After exchanging vows, Danielle and Aaron took communion together with their loved ones, listened to Danielle's sister sing and pray for blessings on their marriage, and had their first moment of prayer together with the children as a new family. Following the ceremony we took a few moments to finish up their portraits. Then as the daylight started to fade, we came back to eat and dance as the strings of lights in the trees added a little romance and sparkle during the reception.

Danielle and Aaron, thank you for allowing me to celebrate with you and be a small part of such a beautiful day, and thank you to all of the vendors who made it happen!
